First African Holdings
A desire to address audiences across the whole of Africa prompted First African Holdings to appoint 2Stroke to redesign their site. Our entire marketing and development team worked on this project.
The University of Cape Town appointed 2Stroke to rebuild the National Benchmark Tests portal which assesses prospective first year higher education applicants. The project, based on the Drupal CMS, is due for delivery in late 2012.

Our long-standing client, Chris Willemse Cycles, asked us to refresh their e-commerce site following their expansion to a new mega-store. We also distribute their weekly newsletters and help them with SEO, Google ads and Facebook ads.
The UK-listed owner of the Financial Times and Penguin Books appointed us to streamline the digital footprint of its South African education business units. Our first brief was to restructure their local corporate site.

When the website for ACDI launches, it will be a compilation of research projects, people and affiliates, events and academic papers. The people behind the initiative will also be able to manage the content on the website themselves.

Rhodes Food Group
Rhodes Food Group asked us to migrate its corporate website from a legacy Drupal 5 environment to Drupal 6. We provided a fresh new look to the site, migrated existing content and implemented technical SEO changes.
The Econ 3x3 Forum is the brainchild of the University of the Free State and serves as a platform to discuss current critical issues that affect South Africa. We built a customised platform for them using Drupal and integrated automated newsletters with the design.
African Heart Network
The African Heart Network (AHN) does incredible work in Africa, but their old website did not do them any justice. It was a static HTML website with limited functionality. The new website sports a fresh look and improved features, with superb functionality.
The Council for Health Service Accreditation of Southern Africa asked us to rebuild their site to improve usability and make content more accessible. We’re particularly proud of the map we created for them.
The Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies, which operates from the University of the Western Cape, needed a flexible content management system to publish its research and events. We rebuilt their site using Drupal.

Caroline Rillema is SA’s leading fine wine retailer. Her site needed to exude a bouquet of leather, blackberry and cinnamon. But it also needed to sell wine. Like all our e-commerce sites, emphasis was placed on usability.
Corporate Event Staging
This event management company provides the infrastructure and skills to stage world class events. Its previous website did little to showcase the technology it uses, its services or case studies. A Drupal CMS helped resolve this.
South African Older Persons Forum
The National Lottery funded the development of the SAOPF website, providing a platform to raise awareness of the needs of the elderly. Highlights include an events calendar, membership subscription service and interactive quiz.
Live Copper Website
Live Copper’s e-commerce site allows users of electrical components to purchase goods online. The site is integrated with Pastel Evolution, allowing the company to maintain a single stock and financial management system.
A site overhaul for Assignment3 was based on improving usability and access to content for visitors and search engine spiders. Simple navigation and a strong Drupal content management system helped locate information.
The Good Doctor
A powerful content management system built on a Drupal 7 backbone made sure this medical portal was extremely user friendly, while an advertising module makes serving ads and counting impressions a doddle.

This Cape Town restaurant focuses on seasonal, local and ethically farmed produce. Their website needed to reflect these aspects (which meant it needed a simple-to-use CMS) while emphasising the chef’s credentials.
Cobble Walk Mall
A family-friendly shopping mall, Cobblewalk wanted a striking website design which not only showcased its tenants, but promoted its credentials as the ideal place to take the kids with for a morning’s retail therapy.
To showcase a group facilitation methodology with a difference, this website used a sliding mechanism to draw focus to core messages while theme based navigation allows visitors to quickly locate relevant content.
Bills of Cost Website
Generally, professional services firms’ websites are dry affairs. This client wanted to maintain a professional look, while injecting user interaction – something the ‘Pick Our Brain’ section achieves – or so their clients tell them.
This site promotes a conference (taking place in 2013) organised by the Universities of the Western Cape, Stellenbosch and Cape Town. Features include a drop box where potential speakers can upload speech abstracts.

Clean lines and aesthetic images are central to Soft Illusion’s positioning as one of South Africa’s leading providers of high-end audio visual equipment and installation services. A simple CMS allows for frequent content updates.
As a custom publishing company, tiP Africa wanted to showcase the print titles it produces on behalf of its clients. A beautiful image display unfurls to magazine pages, promoting the very best of tiP’s work to great effect.
Africa’s leading cycling apparel manufacturer wanted its customers to design their own clothing. Our app allows registered visitors to apply their corporate identity to a range of styles, colours and sizes before placing an order online.

Along with offering an online version of topCar’s current and historical content, the site - one of our earlier projects, included various revenue generation models with standard and classified ads and integration to partner sites.
