The Drupal Content Management System (CMS)

We believe life begins and ends with content management systems (CMS). It’s staggering how many organisations spend good money on a website only to find that it’s unmanageable. If you can’t add products, articles and pretty much anything else to your site without calling your development company, you’ve got a problem.

One of the primary attractions of Drupal is that, unlike a typical CMS, its modular nature means it is easy to configure and customize. The vast range of freely available Drupal themes and modules can be used as is or can be reconfigured to suit your needs.

The real beauty of this is that a Drupal website is scalable – you start with a foundation and build out. Let’s say you commission us to build you a brand site today and tomorrow the chairman decides you need an e-commerce site (believe us, it’s happened with at least one of our Cape Town clients). We just bolt it on.

OK, so it’s not quite that straightforward. But we certainly don’t need to do an entire site rebuild. We often describe this as future-proofing your digital presence.

And let’s face it, if the White House is built on Drupal and the Economist is powered by it, you’ll be in pretty solid company if you choose it for your CMS. Basically, it rocks.
